When using the memory card style for recording media on a digital camcorder the camcorder is usually plugged in directly to the computer and the images are downloaded from the memory card onto the computer and then transferred to another form of recording media such as a CD or DVD disc. These are the primary types of digital camcorder recording media that are currently available with the camcorders on the market today. Thanks to technology, however, the advancements in digital camcorders are bringing new types of digital camcorder recording media or improvements to the various types of recording media itself.
